Hi all. I like the new trivia game. Grins just look at my dwindling number of points. I have a problem with idiotic answers to questions. I can understand stuff like, I'm not sure, or I just don't know, though that's kind of silly. What i dislike, is someone writing like, cuntsville, or zonebbs bitches or something to that effect. I realize people kid around, but I think it's just not worth letting the site categorize the stupid words like that as true answers. Anyone agree with me?
That and when it leaves it blank. so it just shows a bullet in the list, where someone just passed the question.
Quite the opposite as it happens. I enjoy reading the stupid answers. Some of them are funny. If I can't think of a decent answer I quite often put something silly in on the off chance that I'll give another user later on a smile. It's all good with me.
It's not that I mind the silly answers Dan, but something rude like for instance Dan's a fag, sorry I mean that in no disrespect, but that's all I can comeup with. You know what I mean?
the only thing i can think off is make the questions multiple choice, then you won't get any silly ones
No way, open ended is cool! Maybe some multiple choice.
Well, possibly the easiest fix to this might be if Chris could code things in such a way so that you could have the option to turn other users answers on or off as you wished. Then if you chose to leave them switched on that would be your choice but if you really found some of the other answers objectionable, you would have the option not to see them.
Oh, let's just have the silly answers!
Regarding multiple-choice: I think making the answers case-insensitive and specifying whether the answer needs to be in words or digits is fine.

oy, that's a waist of time. I mean, just skip over their answers and don't read them if it bugs you so. Haha, I find the answers amusing too. I've written a few myself.
ok I think everyone's getting the wrong idea here. I'm not some prude who can't hadnle seeing the word cunt or something, I guess it just was kind of stupid though, I don't imagine anyone really cares, so I wonder why I put this up.
The silly answers don't bother me. If someone wants to blow the points they bet by not attempting a serious answer, that's their loss, and like Dan said, they might give someone else a smile.
Regarding not being able to see other people's answers, I have benefited several times by seeing the wrong answers. For example if the question has only two possible answers such as yes or no or right or left, and the wrong answer is shown, the logic tells you the correct answer. Also, some people have the correct answer but put the word the or a before it which causes them to lose their points, but it still helps me.
Now off topic, my biggest problem with this game is the number of times I have lost points when I am absolutely sure I have the right answer. I have even gone so far as to look up the question on the internet and found I was correct. There are a couple questions I have gotten repeatedly and it really pisses me off that I know the correct answer and could be winning huge bonus points, but the damn game says I'm wrong.
